Is there a way to hide those last fm top artists posts from my dashboard?

I just scrolled thought 3 full dashboard pages of those bastards. I want to punch Joe Laz in the face.

From Google’s Help Pages

Be wary of SEO firms and web consultants or agencies that send you email out of the blue. Amazingly, we get these spam emails too: “Dear google.com, I visited your website and noticed that you are not listed in most of the major search engines and directories…”

Web 2.0 - Keynote, Clay Shirky

“Here’s what 4-year olds know: a screen that ships with without a mouse, ships broken. Media that’s targeted at you—but doesn’t include you—may not be worth sitting still for.”

I think that is a little extreme—I still love watching films in a (quiet) theater or at home. But it is impossible to ignore the fact that Internet usage is skyrocketing, people are cancelling their cable connections, and you can no longer make a site for even one-way content (video) without including fundamentals like comments or forums.

via a chat with Scott Dudley

This is definitely worth watching in full.

Dan Deacon’s stuff
Kinda sad I missed this…

I used to have the exact same keyboard/sampler. I got it from RadioShack. It only let you record up to like 3 seconds per sample so in order to sample and loop beats I would play them in high speed dub mode on my tapedeck and then slow them down back to normal speed once I had the sample. Those were the good old days.
